Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients between 18-60 years of both sexes belonging to American society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II scheduled for elective midline infraumbilical surgeries under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Morbid obesity (BMI greater than 35 kg/m2), 2. A significant history of cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease, 3. Infection at the site of the block, 4. Preexisting coagulation disorder, 5. Known hypersensitivity to study drugs, 6. Patients receiving chronic analgesic therapy, 7. Patients with an inability to comprehend the visual analogue scale.
