Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with developing Angles Class II Division malocclusion with class II skeletal base Patients with a convex facial profile Patients with an orthognathic maxilla SNA equal to 82degree plus or minus 2 degree and retrognathic mandible SNB equal to 74 degree minus 77 degree Patients with an overjet of greater than or equal to 8 mm and a positive visualized treatment objective Patients with minimal anterior crowding Patients in the active growth phase CVMI stage III or IV Patients with an average or horizontal growth pattern Patients with healthy gingival status Patients with a Wits appraisal of plus 2 mm or greater
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients in need of extractions as part of treatment Patient having neuromuscular or systemic disorders History of trauma or temporomandibular joint TMJ disorders Patients with congenital abnormalities such as craniofacial syndrome or cleft lip slash palate Daily use of anti-depressive medication Patient whose legal representatives do not authorize participation in the study Previous orthopaedic treatment Patient under counselling therapy
