Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 to 55 years diagnosed with schizophrenia as per ICD 10 criteria. Patients with predominant residual negative symptoms and clinically stable on antipsychotic medication for at least four weeks. Patients with a reliable informant and willing to provide informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with history of neurological illness, head injury, or seizure disorder. Patients with comorbid depressive episode or on antidepressant treatment in the past four weeks. Patients with implanted metallic or electronic devices such as pacemakers or cochlear implants. Patients with severe medical illness including congestive heart failure or increased intracranial pressure. Pregnant or lactating females. Patients with severe positive symptoms interfering with study participation.
