Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.ASA grade 1 and 2 2. Elective non cardiac surgery under general anaesthesia 3.Duration of surgery between 1-3 hours 4. Patients giving informed and written consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Psychiatric illness or cognitive impairment 2. Hearing impairment or refusal to wear headphones 3.Regular user of anxiolytics, antidepressants or beta blockers 4. History of head and neck surgery
