Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria Patients aged 18 years or older Patients of either gender Patients who underwent major abdominal oncologic surgery under general anaesthesia requiring postoperative hospital admission during the study period Availability of complete perioperative records in the hospital database

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria Patients undergoing minor surgical procedures not classified as major abdominal oncologic surgery Day care or ambulatory procedures without postoperative admission Patients with incomplete or missing key data required for analysis of the primary outcome Patients who expired postoperatively as postoperative length of stay cannot be determined

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative length of hospital stay (in days), defined as number of days from date of surgery to date of discharge.Timepoint: baseline (on day of surgery)and 4 weeks after surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Prolonged postoperative hospital stay, defined as LOS exceeding the 75th percentile of LOS within the study cohort.Timepoint: baseline (day of surgery) & 4 weeks after surgery
