Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Mild(Score of 1-4) stress by ISMA Questionnaire 2) Moderate (Score of 5-13) stress by ISMA Questionnaire 3) Either Sex 4) Depression 5) Participants undergoing detox treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Participants contra-indicated for Sarvangasana. 2) Participants on anti-depressants, anxiolytic medications, or sedatives, etc. i.e., those suffering from severe Mental illness. 3) Participants of head trauma. 4) Participants suffering from severe metabolic disorders. 5) Participants undergoing detox treatment for addiction.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of the present clinical study titled Efficacy of Sarvangasana on Mental Stressed Individuals is to evaluate the reduction in mental stress levels following the regular practice of Sarvangasana.Timepoint: 60 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes of the study include assessment of improvement in psychological, physical, & behavioral parameters associated with stress. Psychological parameters include reduction in anxiety, mood swings, depressive symptoms, & improvement in concentration & decision-making ability. Physical parameters include improvement in sleep quality, normalization of appetite, reduction in fatigue, & stabilization of stress-related weight changes. Behavioral parameters include reduction in social withdrawal, irritability, impaired performance, & decreased dependency on stimulants such as caffeine or other substances. Overall enhancement in sense of well-being, relaxation, & daily functional capacity will also be observed as supportive secondary outcomes of Sarvangasana practice.Timepoint: 60 days
