Interventions

Intervention1: 5 cm gastric myotomy: In this group the patients will undergo 5 cm gastric myotomy while undergo peroral endoscopic myotomy for achalasia cardia type I, II and esophagogastric junction

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Monometrically confirmed cases of achalasia cardia types I and II and esophagogastric junction outflow obstruction (EGJOO)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Other spastic oesophageal motility disorders including achalasia cardia type III, distal esophageal spasm and jackhammer esophagus -Not willing for POEM -Severe coagulopathy -Contraindication for general anaesthesia -Informed consent not available
