Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I II III Scheduled for elective surgery requiring endotracheal intubation Patients who provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known allergy or hypersensitivity to opioids ASA physical status IV, V BMI (body mass index) more than 30kg/cm2 History of difficult airway or anticipated difficult intubation. Patients with significant cardiovascular disease (uncontrolled hypertension, arrhythmias, ischemic disease). Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction. Pregnant or lactating women. Failed intubation at 1st attempt Patient requiring more than 45 sec for successful laryngoscopy and intubation
