Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 to 80 years with closed distal third tibial fractures planned for treatment with minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis. Patients with AO classification type A, type B and type C1 fractures located in the distal third of tibia with intact neurovascular status and willingness to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with previous surgery of tibia such as open reduction internal fixation or intramedullary nailing. Patients with polytrauma or associated neurovascular injury. Patients with open fractures, pathological fractures or severely comminuted fractures. Patients with intra articular fractures. Patients with inadequate follow up of less than six months.
