Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Age 18 to 60 years. 2 Patients irrespective of gender. 3 Patients diagnosed with insomnia based on DSM-5 4 A score of 5 or more in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). 5 Patients who are willing to participate in the study and have agreed to sign the informed consent form and follow up as per the study protocol.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Pregnant or lactating women. 2 Alcohol or drug abuse or use of psychoactive medications within past six months. 3 Known cases of Parkinsonism, chorea, epilepsy, dementia. 4 Patients with uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hepatic or renal dysfunction. 5 Patients of skin diseases that may interfere with their sleep like eczema, scabies and psoriasis 6 Unwillingness or inability to comply the requirements of the protocol and who refuse to give written consent for the study.
