Health Condition 1: K044- Acute apical periodontitis of pulpal origin Health Condition 2: K045- Chronic apical periodontitis Health Condition 3: K040- Pulpitis

Interventions

Intervention1: Polyethylene Fibre group, Ribbond: All the permanent molar teeth which have undergone standardized root canal therapy will be considered for post endodontic cuspal coverage restoration.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of Age 18-60 years. 2. Mature Permanent maxillary/mandibular molars. 3. Root canal treated molar teeth in department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics of AIIMS Jodhpur. 4. Healthy patients without systemic diseases or allergic reactions (ASA I and ASA II). 5. No associated pathologic mobility of the tooth. 6. Good oral hygiene.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals with age less than 18 or more than 60 years. 2. Teeth with pathologic mobility. 3. Retreatment cases. 4. Radiographic evidence of resorption (internal/external), root fracture, calcification, advanced bony destruction. 5. Patients with parafunctional habits (bruxism, clenching). 6. Patients with poor oral hygiene. 7. Individuals not giving written consent. 8. Pregnant and lactating mothers. 9. Systemically compromised patients.

To ascertain which of the two different methods of cuspal coverage restorations leads to better clinical performance in Endodontically treated Molar teeth.Timepoint: Baseline, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months

MeasureTime frame
To comparatively evaluate the type of failure (irrepairable vs. repairable) of two different Post endodontic cuspal coverage restorations.Timepoint: Baseline, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months
