Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 40 years or above of either gender. Older individual with a preference for noninvasive treatment modalities. Presence of at least one exposed root surface caries lesion on posterior teeth. Root caries lesions limited to dentine and which are relatively asymptomatic or slightly sensitive. Difficult to access root carious lesions such as those on proximal aspects of posterior teeth. Willingness to participate and provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Teeth with pulpal involvement or mobility. Patients with known allergy to silver or fluoride. Patients with severe systemic illness like uncontrolled diabetes or cardiac arrest. Pregnant or lactating women. Patients who have received professional fluoride application in the past 3 months.
