Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged between 5 years and 9 years. 2. Teeth with International Caries Detection and Assessment System II score 4,5,6. 3. Children with moderate carious lesions with remaining dentin thickness of more than 0.5mm in primary molars.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children exhibiting uncooperative behaviour. 2. Children with systemic conditions. 3. Teeth with history of spontaneous pain and pathological mobility. 4. Teeth with evidence of periapical/furcation radiolucency and internal/external resorption.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Total viable bacterial count assessment samples will be collected, transported and analysed for colony forming units on agar plates.Timepoint: Baseline (T0) Postoperative after 60 seconds of intervention (T1)

To evaluate esthetic properties, functional properties and biological properties, if any using Revised FDI CriteriaTimepoint: Clinical assessment at baseline(T0),after 3 months(T1) and 6 months(T2) Follow up
