Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All pediatric patients aged 0 18 years Undergoing elective or urgent cardiac surgery Requiring oral endotracheal intubation Planned postoperative admission to ICU No exclusion criteria present Informed consent obtained from parent/guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known or suspected tracheal anomaly or major airway malformation Patients undergoing emergency surgeries Patients requiring emergency airway management, where protocol steps cannot be followed History of prior tracheal surgery Patients already intubated before admission to the study center Pre-existing tracheostomy or use of non-standard ETT Contraindications to fibreoptic bronchoscopy (FOB), such as: Severe coagulopathy Unstable hemodynamics
