Inclusion criteria: Donors who are fulfilling Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940 Donor eligibility criteria and Departmental SOP.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Donors not fulfilling Drugs and Cosmetic Act, 1940 Donors eligibility criteria, Departmental SOP and donors who did not consent to participate.

To evaluate efficiency of novel self-contained X-ray irradiator for irradiating cellular blood components intended for transfusion.Timepoint: 6 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To compare the efficacy of X-ray irradiator with gamma irradiator. 2. To assess the effect of irradiation on the biochemical parameters of the blood components. 3. To evaluate the effect of irradiation on platelet function tests. 4. To confirm the absence of T-lymphocyte proliferation post irradiation process.Timepoint: 6 months
