Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Both gender patients - Patients age of 18 -85 years - Patient on mechanical ventilation on more than 24hr - Primary condition requiring intubation has resolved or shown significant improvement - Patients who passes spontaneous awakening trial - Hemodynamically stable patients - Adequate oxygenation - Absence of significant respiratory acidosis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients of age below 18 or above 85years - Tracheostomized patients - Hemodynamically unstable patients - Patients who failed spontaneous awakening trial - Patients who deviates from inclusion criteria
