Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age more than 18. Non operable Ca oral cancer. moderate to severe pain. willing for the block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergy to local anesthetics or corticosteroids. Infection at injection site. Bleeding disorders or on anticoagulant therapy. Severe systemic illness contraindicating nerve block. Pre-existing neuropathy in mandibular distribution. Pregnant or lactating women.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Duration of analgesia (time from administration of inferior alveolar nerve block to first request for rescue analgesic).Timepoint: 6 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Total rescue analgesic consumption during the observation period. Time to onset of pain relief. Timepoint: 6 months.
