Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Parents/caregiver willing to give consent for participation. 2. Classified under american society of anesthesiologist physical status 1 & 2. 3. Scheduled for surgeries acquiring general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Hypersensitivity or allergy to dexmedetomidine 0r propofol or any component of study formulations. 2. Children with ongoing upper respiratory tract infection, neurologic disorders, developmental delays, congenital airway abnormalities, cardiac ailments, & syndromic conditions. 3.Patients should not participate in another study.
