Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Scheduled for elective lower segment caesarean section (LSCS) under spinal anaesthesia 2. Willing to provide written informed consent 3. ASA physical status II or III 4. Singleton pregnancy at term (more than equal to 37 weeks gestation)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Known hypersensitivity to phenylephrine 2. Contraindications to spinal anaesthesia (e.g.coagulopathy, infection at injection site, severe hypovolemia) 3. High-risk pregnancies (e.g., preeclampsia, eclampsia, placenta previa, major fetal anomalies) 4. BMI more than 35 kg/m (if you plan to exclude morbidly obese patients) 5.Emergency LSCS cases
