Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 65 years ASA Physical Status 1 and 2 Patient undergoing general anesthesia (mastoidectomy)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to opioids. History of psychiatric disorders Patients on chronic opioid therapy or long-term magnesium supplementation. Pregnant or lactating women. Patients with pre-existing cognitive impairment or neurodegenerative diseases Infections or inflammatory diseases that can confound biomarker analysis
