Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Patients with age group of 18years-40years. -Pregnant women with singleton pregnancy in second trimester 14weeks-27weeks. -Systemically healthy patients.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Periodontal therapy in past 6 months, systemic antibiotics/anti-inflammatory immunosuppressants anti-convulsive drugs. - Tobacco/alcohol xerostomia medication fixed orthodontic appliances. - Systemic conditions known to alter saliva/inflammation (uncontrolled diabetes autoimmune disease). - Acute oral infections or extensive caries causing pain. - High-risk pregnancy complications eg severe preeclampsia at clinicians discretion.

MeasureTime frame
Our research will demonstrate that Leukocyte Esterase and pH can reliably be used as rapid, inexpensive, chairside tool for screening and early diagnosis of periodontal inflammation. Timepoint: 1 year
