Intervention1: spinal anesthesia with 25 guage quincke needle: Spinal anaesthesia will be administered using a 25-gauge Quincke spinal needle at L3 L4 or L4 L5 interspace under aseptic precautions. 10

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II patients Elective surgeries posted under spinal Anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unwilling to give consent The patient with history of hearing disorder/ with conductive hearing loss more than 20 dB. Patients with psychiatric/neurological disorders

Incidence and degree of hearing loss after spinal anaesthesia, measured using: Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) Oto-Acoustic Emission (OAE) Frequencies tested: 250 8000 HzTimepoint: Baseline preoperative, postoperative day 3 or at discharge, and 1 week in patients with detected hearing loss
