Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Antenatal risk factors for sepsis Foul smelling liquor PROM more than 18hrs Leak PV Chorioamnionitis Prepartum fever 2. With clinical features of sepsis: Hypothermia or fever. Lethargy, refusal of feeds Hypotonia Bradycardia or tachycardia Respiratory distress Hypotension or shock
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Neonate with proven blood culture sepsis before admission 2. Neonates with major congenital anomaly. 3. Neonates with birth asphyxia. 4. Neonates started on prior antibiotics before admission 5. Refusal to give consent
