Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Case group: Women aged 18 to 40 years coming to the Department of Endocrinology and OBG and diagnosed with PCOS as per the 2023 International Evidence-Based Guidelines (ESHRE), LVEF more than or equal to 50% on 2D echocardiography, Adequate image quality for LV strain analysis Control group: Women aged 18 to 40 years, Participants attending routine check-ups at the Department of Cardiology without comorbidities will be screened for PCOS based on clinical fearures such as hirsutism and irregular menstruation. Those without these features will be included as controls.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy or lactation 2. Known cardiovascular disease (CAD, heart failure, Cardiomyopathy, significant valvular disease) 3. Diabetes mellitus or uncontrolled hypertension 140/90mmHg) 4. Uncontrolled thyroid disorder 5. Chronic kidney or liver disease 6. Arrythmias (e.g atrial fibrillation) or poor ECG/ECHO quality for strain analysis
