Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient with one or more carious lesions (i.e., caries-active). Patients who are systemically healthy. A Patient who can rinse and spit properly without swallowing the mouthwash. Patient whose parents/guardians provide written informed consent and who give assent to participate in the study. Patient who has not used any antimicrobial mouthwash in the past month.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Caries-free children. Patient with a history of antibiotic therapy in the past month. Patient with systemic diseases or conditions that could affect salivary flow or oral microbial flora. Patient with a history of allergy or adverse reaction to any component of the mouthwashes used in the study. Patients who are uncooperative or unable to comply with the study protocol.
