Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All Adult patients aged 18 years and above admitted consecutively to the intensive care unit

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with intensive care unit stay less than 48 hours. Patients with acute kidney injury stage 2 or 3 at admission as per KDIGO criteria. Patients on maintenance hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Patients with chronic kidney disease with baseline estimated glomerular filtration rate less than 30 ml per minute per 1.73 meter square. Post kidney transplant patients. Patients with missing serum creatinine values at admission or day 2.
