Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing total or completion thyroidectomy with or without neck dissection

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pre-existing clinical conditions or drugs that alter calcium homeostasis, Previous radiation to the neck

Calcium dependence post op- Number of days and dose of oral and iv calcium supplementation, requirement of oral calcium supplementation at 6 months post op in the different groups Timepoint: 6 months post-operation
