Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age more than 18 yrs 2. FNAC proven cases of all T3, T4 differentiated thyroid malignancy and T1, T2 cases in which radiologically suspected node was present and neck was addressed. 3. Incidentally diagnosed cases of DTC which were reoperated within 6 months of the study period

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age less than 18 yrs 2. Previous history of head and neck malignancy excluding DTC thyroid. 3. Patients with known medical thyroid diseases or benign neoplasms of the thyroid. 4. Medullary and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. 5. Patients not willing to be part of the study.

1. To evaluate the incidence and pattern of cervical nodal metastasis on intraoperative and histopathological findings in Differentiated thyroid malignancy. 2. Correlation of intraoperative and histopathological findings with preoperative imaging.Timepoint: Preoperative imaging within 4 weeks prior to surgery Intraoperative findings at the time of surgery Day 0 Histopathological findings within 4 weeks postoperatively

1 To evaluate the sensitivity & specificity of preoperative imaging in predicting the pattern of cervical lymph node involvement 2 Clinicopathological predictors of lymph node metastasis Timepoint: Baseline within 4 weeks prior to surgery for imaging intraoperative Day 0 & histopathological assessment within 4 weeks postoperatively
