Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II. Patients with radiologically confirmed cervical spine instability. Patients with inter incisor distance more than 2.5 cm. Patients scheduled for elective cervical spine surgery. Patients providing written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients requiring emergency airway management or with unstable vital parameters. Patients with pan facial trauma or craniofacial deformity. Patients with upper airway distortion due to infection, tumour or injury. Patients with known bleeding disorders. Patients with significant retrognathia or submandibular swelling. Pregnant patients. Patients with body mass index more than 30 kg per square meter.
