Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with first permanent molars along with adjacent 2nd premolar and 2nd permanent molar in all the quadrants Patients having no history of previous orthodontic treatment. Patients having no caries or restorations on posterior teeth. Patients having tight interproximal contacts Age group of 18-35 years Good oral and general health conditions

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having spacing in the posterior segment Patients with congenitally missing posterior teeth Patients with incomplete eruption of 2nd molars Patients with missing 1st molars Patients with severely rotated 1st or 2nd molars Patient refuses to give informed consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in pain intensity measured using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) after separator placement.Timepoint: 10 minutes, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and 96 hours after elastomeric separator placement
