Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Clinically: 1. Skeletal class II growing children with mandibular retrognathia (age group-10 to 14 years) 2. Children with hyper mentalis activity with lip trap 3. No previous history of any orthodontic treatment. 4. Each subject with a full cusp class II or end-on molar relationship bilaterally with convex facial profile. The overjet should be more than 5 mm. Positive visual treatment objective (VTO) Radiographically: ANB angle more than 4 degrees with average to horizontal growth pattern. Subjects who are at accelerated phase of pubertal growth spurt (CVMI stage-3), MP3-FG and MP3- G stage.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Syndromic cases. 2. Children with following disorders- A) Disorders of Bone metabolism. B) Hepatobiliary disorders. C) Systemic Inflammatory diseases. 3. Children with compromised oral hygiene. Patients with mouth breathing habit.

Evaluation of mentalis muscle activity using EMG after giving twin block with & without lip bumper.Timepoint: Before giving Twin Block Pre-treatment records. 12 months after giving twin block Post treatment records after achieving class I molar relationship
