Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Cases satisfying the working case definition (FBS levels in between 126 and 250 mg/dL, HbA1C levels in between 6.5 and 10 % and hsCRP levels more than 1mg/L 2.Individuals of both sexes within the age limit of 30-65 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with hsCRP levels more than 7 mg/L 2. Patients with complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus like nephropathy, retinopathy 3. Patients with severe infections, chronic inflammatory conditions, connective tissue disorders and cardiac diseases 4. Diagnosed cases of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus 5. Patients with BP more than 160/100 mmHg 6. Patients with total cholesterol more than 300 mg/dL 7. Known cases of malignancies 8. Pregnant, lactating women 9. Patients taking insulin and antidiabetic medicines
