Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: generally healthy individuals with no medical contraindications for implant surgery healthy soft tissue, indicated by bleeding on probing (BOP) less than 20% and Plaque Index (PI) less than 25% keratinized gingiva minimum 2 mm, both buccally and lingually presence of molar or premolar in the upper or lower jaw (6) implant primary stability minimum 35 Ncm intact remaining alveolar bone walls (buccal bone to be documented) postextraction

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: smoking (more than equal to 10 cigarettes/day) history of uncontrolled periodontitis uncontrolled diabetes or alcoholism medications known to impair healing implant primary stability less than 35 Ncm.
