Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Freshly diagnosed cases or patients diagnosed to be suffering from T2DM for not more than one year. 2. T2DM patients with FPG levels between 126 mg/dL and 220 mg/dL. 3. Patients who are not taking any medicines (allopathic, Ayush or any other treatment) for T2DM. 4. Patients willing to give informed consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with any comorbid conditions like other noncommunicable diseases or systemic illness. 2. Patients with serious psychiatric disorders like panic attacks, suicidality, Alzheimer s, Schizophrenia. 3. Patients who are taking any kind of supplements or natural plant extracts. 4. Patients doing high-intensity exercise. 5. Patients with pregnancy or planned pregnancy during the time period of the study.

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome is to investigate the antioxidant potential of four preidentified homoeopathic MTs and to clinically correlate their effect on HbA1C, metabolic enzymes and mitochondrial homeostasis in T2DM patients.Timepoint: Baseline and third-month. Mitochondrial homeostasis at baseline, one month, and three months.
