Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who diagnosed asthma and seeking health services in outpatient department. Patients who are aged between 18 years to 65years with documented evidence of airflow obstruction and impaired quality of life People with bronchial asthma under medical treatment but not practising breathing exercises. Non-smokers or ex-smokers who had not smoked for at least last 6 months Participants or their relatives must possess a functional smartphone (android/ios) with internet and WhatsApp access, as the pulmonary rehabilitation program includes video-based instructions, reminders, and follow-up communication delivered through the smartphone.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are unconscious or unable to respond to verbal stimuli. Patients who are in the acute exacerbation stage of asthma requiring emergency management. Patients with severe co-morbid conditions such as advanced cardiac disease, severe neurological disorders, or severe musculoskeletal limitations that may interfere with participation in pulmonary rehabilitation. Individuals with cognitive impairment or mental illness that prevents understanding or following instructions. Patients who are unable to perform spirometry or breathing exercises due to physical limitations. Patients diagnosed with other chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, Bronchiectasis, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Silicosis, Asbestosis, or Active Pulmonary Tuberculosis, which may influence respiratory function and study outcomes. Individuals who regularly practice yoga or structured breathing exercises, as this may affect the intervention outcomes.
