Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Idiopathic Parkinsons disease scheduled for bilateral STN DBS ASA physical status II and III

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications to awake craniotomy Allergy to Dexmedetomidine. Significant cardiac disease Significant hepatic impairment. Inability to give informed consent. Any pain in either of the two groups Conversion to General anesthesia
