Intervention1: Group B(test group): Scaling and root planing along with IGF(Insulin-like growth factor) as local drug delivery: A written informed consent will be taken from all the patients included

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 20-55 years Male and female patients with chronic periodontitis Presence of at least two contralateral sites with probing pocket depth (PPD) of 5-6 mm Systemically healthy patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy and lactation Smokers and tobacco users Hypertension Diabetes Any other systemic disorders which affect the outcome of the treatment. Patients who are unwilling to participate in the study. Patients with chronic periodontitis showing radiographic evidence of angular bone defects.
