Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with Trichotillomania based on DSM 5 diagnostic criteria. Age between 5 to 60 years. Both male and female patients. Patients with mild to moderate severity based on Massachusetts General Hospital Hair Pulling Scale. Patients willing to participate and provide written informed consent. Patients willing for regular follow up during the study period. Patients not receiving any structured psychotherapy during the study period.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or severe depression with suicidal tendency. Patients with organic causes of hair loss such as alopecia areata, tinea capitis or other dermatological conditions. Patients currently on psychotropic medications or those who have taken such medications within the last one month. Patients with trichotillomania secondary to other psychiatric disorders. Patients with severe systemic illness. Patients unwilling or unable to comply with follow up.
