Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate and compare SRP alone, SRP with 0.2% Chlorhexidine gel and SRP with 2% Curcumin gel in the treatment of Stage II Periodontitis patients with T2DM clinically and microbiologically.Timepoint: 2 Years

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To evaluate and compare SRP alone, SRP with 0.2% Chlorhexidine gel and SRP with 2% Curcumin gel in the treatment of Stage II Periodontitis patients with T2DM clinically through assessment of Gingival index (GI), Plaque index (PI), Probing pocket depth (PPD) and Clinical attachment level (CAL). 2. To evaluate and compare SRP alone, SRP with 0.2% Chlorhexidine gel and SRP with 2% Curcumin gel in the treatment of Stage II Periodontitis patients with T2DM microbiologically through assessment of microbial load.Timepoint: 18 Months
