Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Participants with HbA1c levels between 6.5% and 8% 2. Participants who have not yet started taking any modern anti-hyperglycemic drugs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant or lactating women 2. Cases diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, or renal/hepatic failure

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) to assess average blood glucose levels over the past 2 3 months. Timepoint: HbA1C at 0th and 90 th day.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG) measured in mg/dL using standardized laboratory techniques. 2. Post-Prandial Blood Glucose (PPBS) assessed 2 hours after a meal to evaluate postmeal glycemic control. 3. Subjective Symptom Relief: Evaluation of key symptoms associated with Prameha/Type 2 diabetes mellitus such as fatigue (klama), excessive thirst (trishna), and frequent urination (prabhuta mutrata) using a standardized symptom scoring scale. Timepoint: 0th, 30th, 60th and 90th day
