Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Normotensive and controlled hypertensive patients on medication consenting to participate , belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA) I -II aged 30-60 years undergoing elective surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pateint not consenting to participate. 2.Difficult airway ,obesity (BMI more than 30). 3.Baseline heart rate less than 60 or more than 100. 4.Cardiorespiratory diseases. 5.Pregnancy. 6.Drug interacting with ivabradine. 7.Patient on beta blocker therapy. 8.Hypersensitivity to ivabradine.
