Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged between 18 and 50 years. 2. Endodontically treated teeth with persistent periapical lesion requiring apicoectomy. 3. Lesion size between 5 mm and 10 mm. 4. Patients medically fit for minor oral surgery (ASA I or II). 5. Patients willing to provide written informed consent and comply with follow-up schedule.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant or lactating females. 2. Periodontally compromised teeth. 3. Vertical root fracture. 4. Lesion size greater than 10 mm. 5. Patients allergic to shellfish (possible chitosan sensitivity). 6. Patients unwilling to participate or unable to attend follow-up visits.
