Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The biopsy diagnosed cases of squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix. The patients who are diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma of cervix on surgically resected specimens. The patients with histological diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma of cervix, irrespective of the grade of tumour. Patients who have adequate clinical details concerning squamous cell carcinoma of cervix.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who have been histologically diagnosed with cervical carcinoma other than squamous cell carcinoma. Patients with insufficient clinical information related to their histopathological diagnosis. Patients lacking adequate tumor tissue blocks that are sufficient for immunostaining for p16 and Ki-67.

To assess the immunohistochemical expression pattern of p16INK4a and Ki-67 in squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix and determine their association with clinicopathological parameters and FIGO stage.Timepoint: 2 years

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To evaluate the correlation between p16INK4a and Ki-67 expression in cervical squamous cell carcinoma. 2. To assess the association of p16INK4a and Ki-67 expression with tumor grade, lymphovascular invasion, nodal status, and tumor stage. 3. To explore the potential role of p16INK4a and Ki-67 as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in cervical squamous cell carcinoma.Timepoint: 2 years
