Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients age from 30 to 75 yrs. ASA physical status I - lll Elective lumbar spine surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with known allergy to local anaesthetics. ASA lV. Patient with previous lumbar spine surgeries. Patients with a history of coagulopathy or on anticoagulant and anti-platelet drugs. Polytraumatic patient with head injury or in shock. Patients with infection at the site of block Patients who refuse to participate in study. Pregnant women. Patients with chronic opioid use or psychiatric illness. Patient receiving ketamine at the time of induction.

To compare postoperative pain scores between ultrasound-guided lumber-Erector spine plane (ESP) block and modified thoracolumbar interfascial plane block (mTLIP) block in patients undergoing lumbar spine surgeries.Timepoint: Post operative at 0hour, 2 hr later , 4 hr later, 6 hr later, 12 hr later,18 hr later ,24 hr later, 48 hour late

MeasureTime frame
To compare the duration of analgesic effects in the modified thoracolumbar interfascial plane block and Lumbar erector spinae plane block. To compare total rescue analgesia consumption in form of opioids like Tramadol 100mg as primary while NSAIDs like Diclofenac 75mg as secondary rescue analgesia in the first 24 hours. To assess patient satisfaction and block-related adverse effects in both groups. Timepoint: 0 hr , 2 hr, 4 hr, 6 hr, 12hr,18hr,24hr
