Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with type II diabetes mellitus Patients diagnosed with stage III grade B periodontitis Patients aged 30 to 65 years of either gender Patients undergoing periodontal therapy Patients providing written informed consent for participation in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with stage I and stage II periodontitis Patients who have received periodontal therapy or professional oral prophylaxis in the past 6 months Patients on antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, or immunosuppressive therapy in the past 3 months Pregnant or lactating women Patients with other systemic diseases (cardiovascular disease, renal disease) that may affect periodontal status or hematological parameter Patients with smoking or tobacco habit Patients with hematological disorders or blood dyscrasias affecting red cell or platelet indices
