Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All diagnosed with stable type of Androgenetic alopecia. Patients with hair type II-V according to Norwood-Hamilton scale for males. Patients with hair type I-II according to Ludwig scale for females. Patients who are willing to abstain from other treatments. Patients who have completed written consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who refused to participate. Patients with other type of alopecia as a diagnosis. Patients suffering from seborrheic dermatitis, tines capitis or any other scalp infection. Patients undergoing any form of chemo or radiotherapy. Patients found to be allergic to constituents of GFC. Pregnant and lactating females, chronic smokers or alcoholics. Patients who have taken any treatment for past 3 months.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in hair density across 3 sittingsTimepoint: Assessment done at baseline then monthly for 3 months followed by final assessment at 6 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Lack of improvement at the end of 6 monthsTimepoint: 6 months.
