Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Males and females of ages 20 to 40 years who consented to participate in this study Requiring intraoral local anaesthesia for orthodontic therapeutic extraction of four premolars ASA I or II classification
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Allergy to lidocaine or chloroethane History of neuropathy or altered pain sensation Use of analgesics/sedatives within 24 hours before procedure Cognitive or communication impairment Patients with history of hypertension, diabetes and mental illness. Patients with restricted mouth opening, patients with local infection/abscess
