Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients (cases) as per standard criteria Healthy normoglycemic individuals as controls Willing to participate and provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Gestational, or secondary (pancreatic/exocrine, endocrinopathies). Severe systemic illness or complications likely to obscure results: severe cardiac disease, eGFR reflecting severe renal failure, active diabetic foot with infection, proliferative retinopathy neuropathy and uncontrolled blood pressure tumor of posterior pitutary gland. Serious co-morbidities: active tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and severe immunosuppression, active hepatitis, active malignancy on treatment. Patients with acute complications like Hyperglycemia and Hypoglycemic Coma.
