Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patient who completed fixed appliance orthodontic treatment with a non-extraction protocol in the mandibular arch and requiring long term retention 2.Have no missing anterior teeth in the lower arch 3.Good periodontal health and willing to comply with the trial regimen and provide written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Poor periodontal health at the pre-debond appointment, presence of supragingival or subgingival calculus, or periodontal pockets greater than 3.5 mm 2.Patients with facial or jaw deformities 3.Gross or uncontrolled caries 4.Prosthodontic requirements in the lower arch at the end of treatment 5.A starting malocclusion requiring extreme transverse correction
