Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria All consenting patients Patients of both genders above the age of 14 years Open wounds on the upper limbs, trunk or lower limbs Wound area ranging 10 cm2 to 100 cm2 Wound involving skin and underlying soft tissues only Wounds caused by physical trauma accidental, burns or surgical Contaminated wounds treated with prior debridement Infected wounds treated with antibiotics as per pus culture reports
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria Hemoglobin less than 7 Albumin less than 3 Systemic diseases Chronic diseases Active infection Uncooperative patients Pregnant and breastfeeding patients Patient with osteomyelitis Patient on systemic steroids anticoagulant agents Patient with neoplasm over wound margins

| To compare effects of Vacuum assisted closure and conventional dressing on wound healing.Timepoint: Both groups will be first assessed at interval of 72 hours. The same procedure will be carried on for period of 15 days. Follow up beyond 15 days will be done for until complete wound closure.
